Granite Mountain is near Snoqualmie Pass and the climb is 4000 feet of elevation over 4 miles. Six Scouts and five adults climbed the peak that day. The top 1/4 was a snow hike which makes hiking less strenuous. The ranger fire tower was open for tours, which many Scouts took advantage of. The hike down was "a good workout for our legs," said Mr. Hogan. Overall it was a great hike with much to do and see. - AJK
