Scouting for Food 2009

On Saturday, March 21st, 2009. Around fifteen Scouts, some lured by the donuts, headed around to large swaths of houses west of the church where we had distributed flyers advertising the Scouting for Food drive a week before and picked up the food that people had donated. Our neighbors donated non-perishable foods and some hygiene items. All together we got around 600 pounds of food for the West Seattle Food Bank, and they were very happy when we dropped it off and helped them categorize and store it. - JFW
